How to clear the browsers cache

We always get asked this questions so here is how to find out how to clear your browser cache in all major internet browsers.

We have compiled a quick guide for each browser type. As later version of these browsers are released the process should stay the same, but you never know for sure.

Internet Explorer

Step 1. Click the "Tools" on the top menu bar.
Step 2. Choose "Internet Options".
Step 3. Under the "Browser history section" click "Settings then choose "every time I visit the web page".
Step 4. Click "OK".
*Note: this option will slow down internet browsing so you may wish to revert back to the "automatically" option at a later date.

Firefox

1. Click on the "Tools" on the top menu bar.
2. Select "Options"
3. Cache is the last choice - hit "clear" and close the window.

Safari

Step 1. Click the Safari menu.
Step 2. Then click Empty Cache.

Netscape

Step 1. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences
Step 2. Click the arrow next to Advanced to open the list.
Step 3. Select Cache in the Advanced list.
Step 4. Click the Clear Disk Cache button.
Step 5. Click the "OK" button.

AOL

From the horizontal toolbar at the top of your screen, click on:

Step 1. Settings - A box appears called "Settings: Essentials".
Step 2. Click on “Internet [Web] Options” - this will launch a window called "AOL Internet Properties".
Step 3. Click on the 'General' tab.
Step 4. Under “Temporary Internet Files”, click on the "Settings" button.
Step 5. On the “Settings” page, make sure "Every visit to the page" is selected. Click "OK".
Step 6. When you return to the '”General'” tab, click on "Delete Files" to clear the cache. Click "OK".

Opera

Step 1. Choose the File menu and select Options
Step 2. Click on History and cache
Step 3. Then click the Empty now button
